About me...
Hi, I am Briony Lawn,
I am a recent graduate from Birmingham City University, where I completed a media and communications degree with a 2:1. Having spent the last three years experiencing the different sectors that are available, I am now looking to venture into the media industry to gain some real experience and to begin my career.

Over the course of my degree, I have ventured into a number of different areas within media. These areas include, but are not limited to public relations, social media, journalism, and television studio. Each of these sectors were equally insightful and interesting to learn about and have enabled me to decipher what job I hope to secure in the future.
Alongside my studies, I also undertook a two-week work placement with Keech Hospice, working on their marketing and communications team. The jobs I was tasked with ranged from writing and uploading social media content, taking photos, writing press releases, and editing and uploading a promotional video for an event. Whilst this placement was short, the experience I gained was incredibly useful and has helped me in a number of aspects of my degree.
Currently I am looking for an entry-level graduate job, primarily within the social media/marketing sector, however I am open to other opportunities in different areas of media, and I am able to provide evidence of work within the areas I have studied, as mentioned previously.
